Workshops to titillate the scientific and creative feeling…

In collaboration with our partner “The Idea Monopoly”, didactic workshops will try to make children aware of various materials and techniques, thus triggering their interest for creation.
Amongst the various initiatives foreseen, let us mention the workshop “I’ve got ideas! What then?” which integrates a case filled with new objects introducing such concepts as design, intellectual property, and marketing…
Within the framework of the International Year of Chemistry, scientific workshops were put in place in collaboration with the Réseau Scité. These workshops are intended for primary school pupils and also present student projects in different stands and booths.

Themes approached?

Energy

In our countries, the consumption of electricity has doubled in a few years! This is mostly due to our ever-increasing need for electrical appliances. It is therefore essential that we should understand the challenges linked to electricity. This workshop uses questioning and manipulations (use of dynamos, electrical circuits, engines, wind pumps…) to show the participants how electricity is produced, what sources of energy are essential to its production and what are their advantages and their flaws.

Nano world

Discovering the nano-worlds. Come and observe the infinitely small through various workshops. Measuring workshops where you will go from the meter to the nanometre using images and a giant canvas, discovering objects through a microscope (one for two children) and finally, making an origami, Japanese nano-paper folding.
