Description:
The subject of the invention (P-393076) is the method for obtaining innovative UV and micro-organism protection textiles, also featuring good photooxidation activity. Contemplated materials are made of polyester fibres pre-modified with low temperature plasma and include in their structure a micronized titanium dioxide (TiO2) in anatase form, which absorbs UV radiation and catalyzes the reaction of organic compound decomposition to simple products.
Products with such properties are suitable for special applications, as the components of
- items of interior decoration, cases of museum exhibits and libraries protecting them from UV radiation, toxic organic compounds and micro-organisms;
- UV protection clothing.
