Established more than 100 years ago, UNIZO is the largest Flemish organisation for self-employed entrepreneurs and champions the interests of these entrepreneurs. UNIZO assembles over 82,000 members including craftsmen, service providers, liberal professions, companies in the commerce and distribution (retail) sectors, most of them located in the region of Flanders and Brussels. UNIZO defends the interests of the SME's and Self-Employed at the Government, Media, Public Opinion and other social partners. • The Idea Monopoly gathers skills in marketing and intellectual property rights management. It offers a method to create and design new innovative products and services able to add value and excellence. • V.I.V. the Flemish Invention Association is an organisation giving assistance by protecting inventions and other projects to people and companies with residence in Flanders as well as in Belgium and abroad. Help is given by means of monthly meetings, where members are informed about patents, models and other forms of protection, prototypes and how to commercialize.
